  • Ciprel IV, Ivory Coast: advising the IFC and the private and institutional lenders on the expansion of the thermal power plant.
  • Azito, Ivory Coast: advising the IFC and the private and institutional lenders in the Azito, Ivory Coast thermal power plant project in 1998 and again for the expansion project (phase III) in 2012. The Azito energy project was a major infrastructure project in Sub-Saharan Africa; it was the first to mobilise finance from commercial banks and benefit from the World Bank’s guarantee through its partial risk guarantee facility.
  • StarEnergie, Ivory Coast: study with a view to structuring the financing of a project to enable a factory to operate with solar energy.
  • Reform of the Ivory Coast energy and electricity sector: advising the Ivorian Government in connection with the reform of the sector, including: (i) privatisation of Energie Electrique de Côte d'Ivoire (EECI) and creation of the Compagnie Ivoirienne d’Electricité (CIE) in 1990, (ii) assistance with the public service concession agreement between the State and the CIE in 1991, (iii) advising on the reform measures for the sector adopted and implemented by the Ivorian Government in 1997 and 1998, (iv) putting in place the legal and financial aspects of the “Electricity for All” project, together with E&Y (2016-2017) and (v) liberalisation of the electricity sector, together with PwC.
